Now you probably know that everyone loves Clark. And from the photo above, we have someone from another planet come to earth to find her soulmate in Smallville Instict.
You see, the girl in the pic is Maxima. And she comes to earth after a signal she sees directed at her. Or so she thinks. Anyway, I think E! Onlines interview with Darren Swimmer says it best. You see, he says that “Maxima is the intergalactic goddess who needs to mate, and humans just don’t fill the bill. The way that we portray her, one of her powers is skill at making herself irresistible to the men who come upon her—and Clark will not be immune to that. There’s going to be one episode, but we’re hoping to do more than one. Charlotte Sullivan is the actress we cast, and she did a really great job, she’s really interesting.”
Pretty cool I know.
Anyway, here is the official description for Smallville Season 8 episode 4 Instinct.
DC COMICS CHARACTER MAXIMA SETS HER SIGHTS ON CLARK — Tess (Cassidy Freeman) and her team perform tests on Clark’s (Tom Welling) crystal that she had retrieved from the arctic, causing it to send a beam of light into the universe. This triggers the arrival of Maxima (guest star Charlotte Sullivan), a queen from the planet Almerac, who is searching for her soulmate, who she believes sent the signal. Unfortunately, Maxima’s power is too great for mortal men and her kiss kills them. The seductive Maxima arrives in Metropolis and begins her search, starting with Jimmy (Aaron Ashmore).
Allison Mack and Erica Durance also star. James Conway directed the episode written by Turi Meyer and Al Septien (#3T7454).
