Sad news to share with Kara fans.
Now you probably know how Laura Vandervoort was not in the cast list when CW sent out their press release. And you may know there was a little confusion as to whether she will be with us for Smallville Season 8.
Well, I got some bad news.
I think we have seen the last of Kara. You see, in TV Guide, Laura spoke to Mike Ausiello about her role as Kara and what the future lies for her.
Well, Laura had this to say;
“They announced the cast… and I’m not a part of it,” Vandervoort told TV Guide’s Mike Ausiello. “We were all surprised when they chose not to bring me back as a regular, but I’m sure I’ll be back for one or two [episodes]!”
Anyway, you can see she’s got a bright future. Especially when she had this to say.
“The show is about Clark Kent, and I was honored to be a part of it. I mean, my character became more than it was supposed to be. She ended up sticking around the entire season.”
Now, the last Smallville episode had Kara somewhere in the “Phantom Zone”. I just hope someone see’s how hard working and dedicated she is, and pics her up.

Iam sad to hearthatSupergirl( Laura Vandervoort) will not be appearing in Smallville anymore . I enjoyed her character and maybe she too she have own show .Maybe the Smallville fans should demand that she be included. Iam going to do that myself.

isn’t this the season about doomsday and i think that she need to be with clark to help him also to teach him how to fly mybe for half a season also the need each other because there family until marhta reterns because they need to bring her back in the end

I’m going to make his as short and to the point as I can the peple at the CW network should sit down and really reconsider asking Lura Vandervort to come back to smallvile.
She was the best thing about the show and I should know I’ve got all the seasons on dvd, and i’ve also been a Superman fan since Iwas 4 or 5 years old.
I didn’t even like Supergirl untill MS. Vandervoort played her.
she was sweet enough to win your heart and yet enough of a first class jerk that you loved her but wanted to put her through a wall at the same time.
Isn’t that just what you wanted goo tv.

I ‘ve read through the comments givin by others and not surprised on their comments, for Laura Vandervoort , for behalf of staying on as Kara,she has brought so much to the show,with saying this it seems like alot of people are going to miss her in the cast of the show,for her part is a major asset to the show and following of the Superman Saga’s of TV shows,Film’s, and comics,for where is a Superman their is a SuperGirl,for the character Kara has done great in this Portray of this New Version of Clark Kent known as Superman,with the two of them together they are a more powerful source for the City of Smallville and surrounding area’s that we have seen already in the the past Sesson’s ,like all the rest of Duals, ( Team members that have been brought to the show and started their Distruction of the Luthor corperations,with Lex at the Helm of the core of the business, so it would be nice to see her continue to be on the show as Kara and protray the character she was givin…….yours truly ………Smallville Veiwer..

I love Laura’s character as Kara, I really like her. I want her to still be part of smallville, she’s one of the reason why im not missing episodes of smallville just to see her in action.
She did well in portraying here role as Kara. I demand that Kara still be part of Smallville. The management should try to reconsider including her in smallville 8. You will lose one of the interesting character in Smallville. Youll going to lose it. Ill tell you. So bring Kara back. I demand for it.

Hey i love kara i cant believe they cut her out..! What the hell where ther thinking.. she and clark are from the same planet they should work to save peoplee she is good and really helps clark.. She was like the only one who understood clark. She was awesome in seasons 7 and not putting her in season 8 is a slap on the face… she was a great part of smallville it pisses me off they took her off…. Fockk.1!
