Clark Kent
Clark is played by Tom Welling, is Smallville’s personal hero. He was adopted by his parents, Martha and Jonathan Kent, after having been brought to Earth. He is the last remaining son of Krypton, and was taken from there when the planet was in danger.
Lana Lang
Lana is played by Kristin Kreuk, and is adored by Clark Kent. She is beautiful and sweet, and runs a coffee shop in Smallville. She was cared for by her aunt when her parents were killed in a meteor shower. This happened at the same time Clark Kent was brought to Earth.
Lex Luther
lexis played by Michael Rosenbaum, and is the smooth, cunning friend of Clark. He is at odds with his powerful father, Lionel Luther, and now runs his own business operations. He is a very powerful young man, and has the connections to help Clark Kent from time to time.
Chloe Sullivan
Chloe Sullivan is played by Alison Mack, and is the editor for the school newspaper, the Torch. She is a friend to Clark, and although she wishes to be more, Clark doesn’t return her feelings.
Pete Ross
Pete is played by Sam Jones the third, and is Clark’s best friend. Pete is a normal high school kid, and is extremely loyal to Clark.
Jonathan Kent
Johnathan is played by John Schneider, and is Clark’s adoptive father. He is an honest and caring man, and is primarily concerned with the well-being of his family. He is apprehensive of the Luthers, and tries to help Clark in dealing with his powers.
Martha Kent
Martha is played by Annette O’Toole. She is Clark’s adoptive mother and is also motivated by her love of their family. She is sweet and smart, and also does her best in helping Clark with his gifts.
Lionel Luther
Lionel, played by Jon Glover, is the town’s greatest bad guy. He is rich and powerful, and downright mean. He does whatever is necessary to get what he wants, and neglects everyone he is closest to, especially his son Lex.
Kara
Kara comes into Smallville in Season 7. We see her as Clark’s cousin from Krypton.
